The Assembly meeting, hosted by the National Audit Office of Malta, will be held on 1-3 July 2025. The Assembly will discuss critical environmental challenges related to water, focusing on the marine environment and water scarcity from the perspectives of drought and drinking water availability. The meeting location complements the topic of the Assembly on ‘Auditing Our Blue Planet'.
The programme of the Assembly features sessions on the meeting topic and provides possibilities to exchange information related to our INTOSAI WGEA work. The first day will address the main topics with presentations from keynote speakers followed by panel discussions with international experts and auditors. The second day continues with parallel project and method workshops focusing on the WGEA Work Plan projects and topic of water. The official programme of the Assembly is concluded on the third day with the WGEA Business meeting, addressing the 2023-2025 and 2026-2028 activities of the WGEA. The third day will also feature the WGEA Award and handing over the Chairmanship.
The Assembly meeting ends on Thursday 3 July, after which the WGEA Steering Committee will gather for an additional meeting on Friday 4 July. The Steering Committee members have been invited by a separate invitation.
More information will be updated to this website as the date of the Assembly approaches, so stay tuned!
