ARABOSAI WGEA

• The Working Group on Environmental Auditing of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) initiated its work in May 2009. Its name changed later to be Environmental Auditing Committee.
  
  
• Currently the Committee consists Nine Countries as members: Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mauritania, Oman, Qatar and Tunisia. The SAI of Kuwait is the committee chairperson.
  
  
• 15 meetings were held of which three Work Plans were approved. The Work Plans were fully achieved (2010-2012 & 2013-2015 & 2016-2018(, 2019 is a transitional year and the 2020-2022 plan is under preparation.
  
  
• The Committee developed in 13^th meeting that held on September 2019 an amended bylaw proposal to go along with the changes in committee's scope to include audit of sustainable development issues. The amendments have approved during the 58th meeting of executive board & 13th General Assembly of the Arab Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI) that held on November 2019 in State of Qatar. The new title of the WGEA is Environmental Auditing Committee.
